Main Synopsis

Aoi Mashiro is a high school student who has recently moved to the historic city of Kyoto. One day, to take care of a personal matter, she visits an old antique shop named “Kura” located in the Teramachi Sanjo shopping district. There, she meets Kiyotaka Yagashira, the son of the shop owner.

Kiyotaka is widely known as the “Holmes of Kyoto.” This is not only because the kanji characters of his name sound similar, but also due to his sharp observation skills and extraordinary detective-like deductions. Impressed by Aoi’s character, Kiyotaka offers her a part-time job at the antique shop.

Together, the two begin tackling various cases and requests from customers—ranging from verifying the authenticity of valuable paintings and uncovering family heirloom mysteries to solving puzzles steeped in Kyoto’s rich history, art, and local traditions. As they solve these mysteries side by side, a unique bond and warm feelings gradually blossom between them.
